🎂 Simplicity in Mind celebrates its third birthday next week!

🏅 Today it was announced that Simplicity in Mind has been granted the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award!

For those of you that have been watching my journey into self-employment, that I posted about "Day 1" and announcing that Simplicity in Mind had signed the Armed Forces Covenant. Well what a difference 3 years makes…

I set out to deliver on two fronts that supported each other:

👨‍💼 40% Working with coaching clients to cover my overheads in order to create time to offer

💂‍♂️ 60% to directly support veterans and their families

As a solopreneur my support to the Armed Forces Covenant has mainly focused on advocating for it with my clients and gathering businesses together to explain what the Covenant is about, the impact it has for Veterans, Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, but most importantly, the breadth and depth of skills this cohort will deliver in their organisations.

As you can see from the slides, I’ve been having fun and doing my very best to grow personally in order to draw the best out of all my clients wherever they come from. It’s lead to the creation of The Simple Reflections Podcast, speaking at a number of conferences, working with firms in the financial services, security and energy sectors as well as clients from 15 to 85 years old, from across the globe!

I’ve been delighted and humbled by the number of private and corporate clients that have loved the idea that working with me indirectly pays it forward to veterans and their families.
